About the Show
FIGHT TO SURVIVE tells the inspiring true stories of outdoorsmen who have faced down death in the wilderness and lived to tell their story. Adventurer, author, and survivor Craig DeMartino kicks off the series with his own story.
His hundred-foot free fall off of a granite cliff in Colorado cost him a leg and almost his life, but did not stop him from pursuing his passion for the outdoors. In 2006 he became the first amputee to free climb the nearly 10,000 foot face of Yosemite’s El Capitan in a single day. Now Craig hosts FIGHT TO SURVIVE, journeying to meet other survivors and hear their stories. Each week Craig takes a survivor back to the flashpoint of their ordeal as they share with him their very own fight to survive. This new series takes the audience right into to some of the most majestic and dangerous places in North America.
From the exciting action to the inspiring comebacks, these stories will remind us all that faith, determination and human spirit can do anything when faced with the ultimate FIGHT TO SURVIVE.

Show Premier
The first episode of Fight to Survive airs on the Outdoor Channel on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 2:30 PM Mountain Time. Make sure to check it out! Episode one is all about their amazing host Craig DeMartino and his rock climbing accident in Estes Park, Colorado.
LCSAR Involvement
When Craig's accident happened LCSAR was called to assist in his rescue from the mountain which involved a very long carry out to get him to the medical helicopter.
Craig asked Larimer County Search and Rescue to participate in the filming of the first episode of the Fight To Survive program on the Outdoor Channel.
Episode 101 – "After the Fall" - A rock-climbing disaster hurtles climber Craig DeMartino 100 feet down a granite cliff. A shattered heap of broken bones, Craig clings to life. In a split second, Craig’s life becomes an inspiring fight to survive.

About the Host - Craig DeMartino
The first episode of Fight To Survive involves Craig. It is the story about his accident while climbing in Estes Park, Colorado.
Craig is a disabled rock climber, motivational speaker, and photographer who travels speaking to groups about the accident and recovery.
Craig's story of struggles and triumphs is documented in his book, “After the Fall,” which delves into his faith in God and his unique approach to and outlook on life. His book can be purchased at Amazon or Barnes and Noble. It comes in paperback and eBook versions for Kindle and Nook readers.
