LCSAR is a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation. Our mission is to find the lost, rescue the stranded and injured, recover the deceased, and educate the public on wilderness and mountain safety. 

We do not charge for these services and our volunteer responders often give not only their time but also pay out of pocket to provide these vital services. There are no paid positions on the team. 

We rely on donations from individuals and businesses as well as grants to purchase and maintain team equipment and provide training to team members.
